InsulinFor many type 1 diabetics, receiving insulin is important in their survival. There are many different types of insulin; each having their own onset and peak times. Insulin glargine (Lantus), is a long acting insulin that is commonly used to help control blood sugar in type 1 diabetes; it is used in combination to a rapid acting insulin.
